Hit the Mud

26.11.2012       10:04       Day 76       Ludmila

There was one drug addict Isa, who used to live in our district. He was a neat Caucasian guy, who was never in need of something. His father was very rich. During the Soviet Union time, his profit was around half million of rubles. That time it was a fabulous amount of money. Isa was an oldest son and spoilt by the love of his father. By 12 he had already changed around 3 cars. He dropped the Institute. He was free to do whatever he wanted. He never heard “no”.

He was so arrogant, demanded the respect to himself and perceived it as a matter of fact. He couldn’t make money. His father always paid him off the jail, treated from drug addiction, but it was useless. When Isa was 30, the money lost its value and his father lost his fortune. He was lucky enough to buy couple of houses, but compared to the lost amount of money it was nothing. At that time, you could have bought the house for 10 thousands. He got really sick afterwards and died in two years.

For the first years, Isa was still privileged enough thanks to the memory to his father. He started to steal money that was left after his father. Then he started to steal from the houses, where he was invited. It became a business for him. Moreover, he didn’t steal it brazenly, but did it on the sly and then aggressively proved that it was not him. Many people didn’t want to deal with him, cause of his father and tried not to let him into their houses.

One day we were staying at my place and that day I received the child benefit for the 3 months. I went into the room and put the money under the book. We injected, and he asked me to bring him water. When I came back, I realized that there would be no money. I was already aware of his manners. So, it proved. He aggressively tried to prove that I forgot, where I put it: “Do you want me to take my clothes off?” He didn’t expect that I would reply positively… he finally had to take everything off up to the panties. I saw that my money was scrolled in his panties. I looked at him, but he brazenly stated: “You see there is no money. Let’s go and find them together, where did you put them?”. I was so ashamed. I didn’t say anything, cause I thought that he would take it off finally. But he didn’t say anything and left. I was literally shocked by his insolence. His life credo was “A thief isn't a thief until caught in the act”

For the first time, he was jailed at 37 years old, but didn’t remain long on freedom after that. His father was not a kind and noble person, he could also walk over the heads, but in comparison with Isa he was an angel. He was from the world of big money, and money solved everything, but his son was all the way down up to the small thefts. From riches – he hit the mud.

Life is like boomerang, once you hit someone you get hit back, early or late. This is how it works, be patient and life will be patient towards you.
