“Action for the prevention of drug abuse”- the so called realization of the two-month program on drug prevention, in particular of the smoking mixes, quite popular now, started on October 1.
The incentive to increase this work became a serious concern of citizens and the authorities with the dramatic increase in the abuse of smoking mixtures. The numerous cases of poisoning, including the fatal outcomes, were already documented.
In Wakayama prefecture, the first phase of the program has already started. It hosts the maintenance work of the informational order: special posters are hanged in clinics, and citizens are handed out leaflets with anti-drug information in public places.
In addition to that, authorities hold festivals, concerts and conferences in educational institutions, on the prevention of drug abuse. For example the contest for the best poster is in the framework of one of these events.
The main idea, which authorities try to promote is a conscious rejection of society from drugs to build a brighter and healthier future.
